Bargain alert! A city-wide garage sale trail is kicking off this weekend

One of your best purchases could currently be cluttering someone else’s home and that is why the Garage Sale Trail is turning the city into one big shopping centre this month.
Whether you’re looking for your new summer go-to top, outdoor seating to soak up the sun, or perhaps some unique glassware to mix your favourite cocktail in, you will find something extraordinary as you explore.
It is hard to match the joy (or the bragging rights) of finding the perfect item for less than your morning coffee will put you back and if you’ve trawled the op shops to no avail then it is time for some fresh inspiration.
The Garage Sale Trail is the perfect way to find something special—whilst reducing your waste and saving a few bucks!
“The garage and group sales registered locally will see around 10,000 kilograms of good stuff saved from landfill,” Queanbeyan Major Kenrick Winchester said.
More than 50 trail spots have been listed in Canberra, and over 20 more just across the border in Queanbeyan which will be held over the next two weekends, but thousands more are being held across the nation. Check out this map to ensure you know where to go.
And for book lovers, the Queanbeyan Library needs to clear out some stock. Head along to pick up a novel that you don’t have to sweat about getting back before the due date.
